Thursday 30 January 2025 – AGM and talk on Maps of Navan by Mairead Crinion, Clare Ryan and Peter Connell

Thursday 20 February 2025- ‘The Irish in Romanov Russia: Some Meath Connections’ by Dr Angela Byrne explores Meath’s historic connections with imperial Russia, from gentleman traveller’s and diplomats, to people with connections to the radical political movements of the era. It draws on her recent book ‘Anarchy and Authority: Irish Encounters with Romanov Russia’ (Lilliput Press, 2024). A limited number of copies for sale (€17) and signing will be available.

Thursday 20 November 2025 – Mairead Crinion – Who do you think you are ? How to research your family history and learn more about your ancestors. Mairéad Crinion is an active committee member of the N&DHS. She also runs a successful genealogical research business called Evergreen Oak Family Research Services. Mairéad answers the genealogy queries that come into the Society’s email from all over the world. This talk will show how to find your family’s records and how to expand your family history and really get to know who your ancestors were.
